There were no late items
Councillor R Brannigan declared a conflict of interest in relation the Horowhenua Neighbourhood Support submission and did not take part in debate or discussion of this item
Councillor J Tamihana declared a conflict of interest in relation to the Manawatu Estuary Management Team submission and did not take part in debate or discussion of this item
Deputy Mayor
Allan advised that as the Council appointed member to Te Awahou Foxton
Community Board he withdrew from all Long Term Plan discussions.
Councillor Barker
declared an interest in the Horowhenua Neighbourhood Support submission.
Councillor Olsen declared
an interest in Shannon Progressive Association and also that he is a member of
Federated Farmers but had not partaken in discussions of their group
submissions.
Councillor Young declared an interest in the Levin Tennis Club as he is a member.
Chief Executive provided clarification for members, that having noted those potential conflict of interest, if an Elected Member has not been involved in the development of the submissions then it is appropriate that they remain during the hearing of those submissions.

MOVED by Mayor Wanden, seconded Cr Allan: 2.1 That Report 24/250 Receipt and Hearing of Submissions - Long Term Plan 2024-44 be received. 2.2 That this matter or decision be recognised as not significant in terms of s76 of the Local Government Act 2002. 2.3 That Council receive the submissions on the Draft Long Term Plan 2024-2044 lodged by 4pm 15 April 2024. 2.4 That Council receive the late submissions on the Draft Long Term Plan 2024-2044 lodged after 4pm 15 April 2024. |
